About The Undie Factory

The Undie Factory office is buzzing place with co-founders Gareth & Ken. It looks like the humble beginnings of HP, only slightly less co-ordinated and probably alot messier, and our website probably isn't as good. We now have extra adequate shelving solutions thanks to IKEA visit number 2, which keep our Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Kids, Swimwear, Polos, DT and Socks nice and safely stored. After all there are about 3000+ items in stock.

I am somewhat proud of the office look now after 1 year, and may just post a picture, until then if you image 1980's boardroom, with the chunkiest table in the world, cardboard boxes, packaging materials, the biggest laser printer in the world that could be considered for home use and three  big IKEA shelving units then you could well be there. (Note we are not getting sponsored by IKEA)

We set the Undie Factory up after a thought about a new business venture, and scouring my back catalogue of ideas which I wanted to do but had not implemented. After much research we approached several brands, with Calvin Klein our first and for some time only brand, to a certain extent their professionalism in that they actually respond to emails and phone calls. The approach for the business is premium brands at discounted prices, so that we can offer great value for money products, and free shipping to boot. We work on fine margins, buying direct from the brands, hence the unsexiness of our now even more cramped office.

Our second brand to come on board was DT Underwear and Bjorn Borg, we have had the stock for DT in the office and now with the new site have added it. Bjorn Borg will hopefully be arriving sometime in June, and will feature soon.

Our aim is to achieve volume to make the business a success.

In the first week of trade we received an unprecedented response, with double figures of units being sold with no real marketing. It was kinda, if you build it they will come. We expected to be going weeks with no sales. The big surprise was people were buying and our site was really unprofessional, it still is but its come a long way since day one. We are now doing double figure unit sales every day and have built up over 500 customers on our registered customer list.

One year in and we have yet to lose an item in the post, although a few have got lost but they always find their way back. Quite a testament to Royal Mail. I have now resigned from my full-time job to focus on the Undie Factory and take it to the next level, by providing an improved service with faster response times, telephone support and live chat online. I will also be keeping a watchful eye on stock levels, improving our dispatch times so orders up to 2pm can be dispatched same day.

We are always looking for other brands and products, so if you want to pitch something to us. Just drop us an email, you can contact us direct via email or chat to us on live chat.
